IDX System Technology CUE-J198 190Wh Lithium-Ion Battery with V-Mount

IDX System Technology has built its identity around professional battery systems for broadcast and cinema production, with the Endura V-mount series serving as its flagship line for over two decades. The company's lithium-ion packs — including the Endura DUO-150, DUO-198, and high-capacity CUE-D series — are designed around D-Tap and USB outputs, integrated runtime LCDs, and the proprietary CINK communication protocol used for digital fuel-gauge integration with compatible cameras and lights. IDX expanded into Gold-mount with its Imicro and ENDURA-PRO formats early on, and has more recently rolled out the IPL-150 Plus and CUE-H series with hot-swap capabilities and higher current draw to support 26V cameras and high-wattage LED fixtures. The DUO-C198 and DUO-C150 models added USB-C PD output to keep pace with laptop, tablet, and accessory power needs on set.

Engineering decisions across the IDX battery line emphasize regulatory compliance and field reliability — UN38.3 transportation testing, multi-cell fuse architecture, and conservative thermal headroom are standard. The company manufactures in Japan and maintains its own cell-matching and quality control processes rather than rebadging OEM packs. This vertical integration has positioned IDX as a default choice for rental houses and broadcast facilities where pack-to-pack consistency over hundreds of cycles is operationally important.
