bebob factory GmbH
bebob factory GmbH is a German maker of batteries, chargers and power accessories for film and television cameras and lighting, based in Munich. Pierre Boudard founded bebob in 1995. The company was reorganized in 2020, and Michael Erkelenz has been its managing director since then.
bebob builds its products in its own Munich manufactory and with suppliers in the Munich area, and its quality management is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001. It also makes custom products, among them a battery holder for SkyPanel lights and V-Mount battery plates for the ALEXA Mini.
The company introduced batteries with replaceable cells and the CINE V-Mount interface. At NAB Show in April 2019, bebob and ARRI presented B-Mount, a 24 V battery interface developed by bebob that also supports 12 V and uses an open communication protocol. In April 2021 ARRI endorsed B-Mount as a universal 24 V battery standard, documented and available to all battery manufacturers, for its current and future cameras and lights.
