PolarPro

PolarPro is an American maker of camera filters and accessories, operated by Polar Pro Filters, Inc. and based in Costa Mesa, California. Jeff Overall started the company in 2011 while a student at the University of California, Santa Barbara, selling filters for GoPro action cameras. In 2015 it appeared on ABC's Shark Tank, where Mark Cuban and Robert Herjavec each offered $500,000 for a 10 percent stake.

From action-camera filters the company expanded into filters for DJI drones and gimbal cameras, threaded and magnetic filters for interchangeable lenses, matte boxes, iPhone rigs, lenses and camera bags. It designs products with working photographers and videographers, and several filter lines carry their names, among them the Peter McKinnon variable ND series.

For filmmakers, its range includes variable ND and polarizer combination filters, the Helix MagLock magnetic filter system, mist and diffusion filters, the BaseCamp and Recon matte boxes, and the LightLeak series of lenses.
