ProGrade

ProGrade Digital Inc. is an American company that designs and markets memory cards, card readers, external SSDs and workflow software for professional photography and video. It is based in San Jose, California.

Former Lexar executives started the company after Micron announced in June 2017 that it would end the Lexar memory card brand. Wes Brewer, previously vice president and general manager of Lexar and earlier a vice president at SanDisk, is its founder and CEO; the founding team had worked in memory card design and manufacturing at Lexar, SanDisk and other firms.

ProGrade launched in February 2018 with CFast 2.0 and SDXC UHS-II cards and a dual-slot USB 3.1 Gen 2 card reader. At NAB 2018 it showed a 1 TB CFexpress prototype. Its range now spans CFexpress, SD and microSD cards, readers and docks, and software for ingest (Ingest Pro), file recovery (Recovery Pro) and card maintenance (Refresh Pro).
