Rokinon

Rokinon is a lens brand owned and operated by Elite Brands Inc. (EBI), a New York company that markets cameras, optics, electronics and accessories under its own and licensed brand names. EBI dates its history, and that of the Rokinon brand, to 1979. Its other brands include VGear and Home Zone, and it licenses the Minolta, Bell & Howell and Coleman names for products including lenses, cameras and electronics.

Rokinon lenses are made by the South Korean lens maker Samyang Optics, renamed LK Samyang Co., Ltd. in 2024. Rokinon is not owned by Samyang and does not manufacture lenses itself; EBI is the only authorized marketing agent for Rokinon, XEEN by Rokinon and Samyang-branded products in North, Central and South America. The same Samyang designs are sold under other brand names in other markets.

The Rokinon range includes still-photography lenses, the Cine, Cine DS and Cine DSX cinema lens lines, and the XEEN by Rokinon cinema primes; a Rokinon XEEN lens carries the same optics as the Samyang XEEN lens of the same focal length.
