Overview
The ARRI Signature Zoom 24-75mm T2.8 Cinema Lens with LPL-Mount is a standard spherical zoom that covers Vista Vision sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 3.1x zoom range allows camera operators to reframe without repositioning the camera, and a constant T2.8 aperture holds exposure steady through the zoom. A fast T2.8 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses an LPL-Mount with manual focus. ARRI LDS-2 lens data passes through the mount, recording focus, iris, and zoom positions alongside the image. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.
Features
Key Features
Standard Vista Vision Coverage
The lens covers Vista Vision sensors, projecting a 46 mm image circle. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.
T2.8 Maximum Aperture
At T2.8 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.
Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.
ARRI LDS-2 Lens Data
LDS-2 reports focus, iris, and zoom positions at higher resolution and faster than the original system, carrying the data over the mount without separate LDS contacts. Post and VFX read those positions back rather than reconstructing them from the footage.
Optical Design
3.1x Zoom Range
The 24-75mm range covers 3.1x without a lens change, holding a constant T2.8 through the zoom. Reframing happens on the barrel, letting one operator move between a wide and a tight shot inside a single take.
Focus & Handling
60 cm Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
LPL-Mount
The lens mounts via LPL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
