Overview
The Atlas Orion 18mm T2 2x Anamorphic Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is an ultra-wide anamorphic prime that covers Super 35 mm sensors. Ultra-wide coverage takes in a full setting from a short distance, which suits establishing shots, tight interiors, and vehicle work where the camera cannot be moved back. Its 2x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 4:3 sensor, commonly cropped to 2.39:1 for delivery. This is the classic scope format and carries the most pronounced anamorphic character. A fast T2 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T16. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.

Ultra-Wide Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 31 mm image circle. An ultra-wide field of view keeps interiors, vehicle mounts, and establishing shots workable from close in, where there is no room to move the camera back.
2x Anamorphic Squeeze
A 2x squeeze reaches 2.66:1 from a 4:3 sensor, commonly cropped to 2.39:1 for delivery. This is the classic scope format and carries the most pronounced anamorphic character — the widest flares, the most oval bokeh — which is exactly why many productions choose it.
T2 Maximum Aperture
At T2 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T16.
Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.
Interchangeable Mount

0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
136mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 136mm, which calls for a large-format matte box, or a clamp adapter sized to it. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
