The Atlas Orion 80mm T2 2x Anamorphic Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is a standard anamorphic prime that covers Super 35 mm sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 2x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 4:3 sensor, commonly cropped to 2.39:1 for delivery. This is the classic scope format and carries the most pronounced anamorphic character. A fast T2 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T16. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.

Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.

The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
