Overview
The BLAZAR Remus II 50mm T2.4 1.5x Anamorphic Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is a standard anamorphic prime that covers Full Frame sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 1.5x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 16:9 sensor, working equally well on high-end cinema bodies and prosumer cameras. The anamorphic character is more dramatic than a 1.33x and less extreme than a 2x. A fast T2.4 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus.

Key Features
Standard Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.
1.5x Anamorphic Squeeze
A 1.5x squeeze reaches 2.66:1 from a 16:9 sensor, making it flexible across high-end cinema bodies and prosumer cameras alike. Its anamorphic character is more dramatic than a 1.33x and less extreme than a 2x — the middle ground many operators are after.
T2.4 Maximum Aperture
At T2.4 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.
150° Focus Throw
Its 150° focus throw is short, racking quickly from close focus to infinity — fast to operate and forgiving for a solo operator, at the cost of finer separation between distance marks.
User-Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be swapped by the owner, letting one lens follow a camera package across bodies rather than staying tied to whichever mount it shipped with. That matters most to owner-operators buying into a system they expect to change.

Mount & Rig Integration
PL-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
80mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 80mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
77mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 77mm screw-in filters behind an 80mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
