The Canon CN-E 30-105mm T2.8 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is a standard spherical zoom that covers Super 35 mm sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 3.5x zoom range allows camera operators to reframe without repositioning the camera, and a constant T2.8 aperture holds exposure steady through the zoom. A fast T2.8 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is marked in feet.
