Overview
The Canon CN-E 30-300mm T2.95-3.7 Cinema Lens with EF-Mount is a super-telephoto spherical zoom that covers Super 35 mm sensors. Super telephoto focal lengths compress perspective heavily and isolate distant subjects, which suits wildlife, sports, and coverage shot from well outside the action. The lens opens to T2.95 and closes to T22. It uses an EF-Mount with manual focus. Standard electronic contacts pass aperture and focus information between the lens and the camera body. The focus barrel is marked in feet.

Key Features
Super Telephoto Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 27.5 mm image circle. A super-telephoto field of view reaches subjects far outside the action, the range wildlife and sports coverage depend on.
T2.95 Maximum Aperture
The lens opens to T2.95 and closes to T22, a moderate maximum aperture suited to well-lit sets and to work that wants deeper depth of field.
300° Focus Throw
Its 300° focus throw is long, spreading distance marks widely for precise, repeatable pulls, with a slower full rack as the trade.
Imperial Focus Scale
Distance marks are engraved in feet. Matching scale units across a lens set matters on a crew that calls distances aloud, and mixing feet with meters mid-set invites errors.
Electronic Contacts
Contacts in the mount pass aperture and focus information between lens and body. The camera records those settings into metadata and can drive the iris electronically where the body supports it.

4.9 ft Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
EF-Mount
The lens mounts via EF-Mount, designed for DSLR bodies and adapting cleanly onto most mirrorless systems, where the longer flange distance leaves room for a simple adapter without corrective optics.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
136mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 136mm, which calls for a large-format matte box, or a clamp adapter sized to it. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
