Overview
The Canon CN-E 50mm T1.3 Cinema Lens with EF-Mount is a standard spherical prime that covers Full Frame sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. A T1.3 maximum aperture puts this among the fastest cine glass available, giving very shallow depth of field and workable exposure in low light, and the lens closes to T22. It uses an EF-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is marked in feet.

Key Features
Standard Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors, projecting a 43.3 mm image circle. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.
T1.3 Maximum Aperture
T1.3 puts this among the fastest cine glass available. Depth of field wide open is measured in inches at close range, which demands an experienced focus puller and rewards one with separation no slower lens produces. It closes to T22.
Imperial Focus Scale
Distance marks are engraved in feet. Matching scale units across a lens set matters on a crew that calls distances aloud, and mixing feet with meters mid-set invites errors.
Focus & Handling
1.5 ft Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
EF-Mount
The lens mounts via EF-Mount, designed for DSLR bodies and adapting cleanly onto most mirrorless systems, where the longer flange distance leaves room for a simple adapter without corrective optics. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
