Overview
The Canon CN-E 70-200mm T4.4 COMPACT-SERVO Cinema Lens with EF-Mount is a telephoto spherical zoom that covers Super 35 mm sensors. Telephoto focal lengths compress perspective and throw backgrounds well out of focus, letting camera operators isolate a subject from a busy environment or reach action at a distance. The lens opens to T4.4 and closes to T22. It uses an EF-Mount with autofocus. Standard electronic contacts pass aperture and focus information between the lens and the camera body. The focus barrel is marked in feet.

Key Features
Telephoto Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 31.4 mm image circle. A telephoto field of view compresses distance and lifts a subject off its background, suiting clean singles and action reached from further back.
T4.4 Maximum Aperture
The lens opens to T4.4 and closes to T22, a moderate maximum aperture suited to well-lit sets and to work that wants deeper depth of field.
150° Focus Throw
Its 150° focus throw is short, racking quickly from close focus to infinity — fast to operate and forgiving for a solo operator, at the cost of finer separation between distance marks.
Imperial Focus Scale
Distance marks are engraved in feet. Matching scale units across a lens set matters on a crew that calls distances aloud, and mixing feet with meters mid-set invites errors.
Electronic Contacts
Contacts in the mount pass aperture and focus information between lens and body. The camera records those settings into metadata and can drive the iris electronically where the body supports it.

Mount & Rig Integration
EF-Mount
The lens mounts via EF-Mount, designed for DSLR bodies and adapting cleanly onto most mirrorless systems, where the longer flange distance leaves room for a simple adapter without corrective optics.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
84mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 84mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
77mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 77mm screw-in filters behind an 84mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
