Overview
The Canon CN-E Flex Zoom 20-50mm T2.4 Cinema Lens with EF-Mount is an ultra-wide spherical zoom that covers Full Frame sensors. Ultra-wide coverage takes in a full setting from a short distance, which suits establishing shots, tight interiors, and vehicle work where the camera cannot be moved back. A fast T2.4 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses an EF-Mount with manual focus. Standard electronic contacts pass aperture and focus information between the lens and the camera body. The focus barrel is marked in feet.

Key Features
Ultra-Wide Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors, projecting a 43.3 mm image circle. An ultra-wide field of view keeps interiors, vehicle mounts, and establishing shots workable from close in, where there is no room to move the camera back.
T2.4 Maximum Aperture
At T2.4 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.
300° Focus Throw
Its 300° focus throw is long, spreading distance marks widely for precise, repeatable pulls, with a slower full rack as the trade.
Imperial Focus Scale
Distance marks are engraved in feet. Matching scale units across a lens set matters on a crew that calls distances aloud, and mixing feet with meters mid-set invites errors.
Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be changed, leaving the lens free to follow a camera package rather than staying tied to the body it shipped for. Check which mounts the manufacturer offers before planning around it.
Electronic Contacts
Contacts in the mount pass aperture and focus information between lens and body. The camera records those settings into metadata and can drive the iris electronically where the body supports it.

Mount & Rig Integration
EF-Mount
The lens mounts via EF-Mount, designed for DSLR bodies and adapting cleanly onto most mirrorless systems, where the longer flange distance leaves room for a simple adapter without corrective optics.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
