Overview

The Canon EOS C300 Mark III Super 35 4K Cinema Camera is an ENG-style cinema camera built around a Super 35 Dual Gain Output CMOS sensor. It records Cinema RAW Light and XF-AVC internally to CFexpress Type B and SD Card media. It shoots up to 120 fps at DCI 4K and UHD 4K, and 180 fps at 2K and Full HD. The camera takes EF-Mount lenses, has built-in ND filters from 2 to 10 stops, records C-LOG 2 and C-LOG 3 log, and runs on BP-A Series batteries.

Super 35 Dual Gain Output CMOS

The sensor resolves 8.85 MP, measures 26.2 mm x 13.8 mm, and is rated at ISO 800.

C-LOG 2 and C-LOG 3

Records C-LOG 2 and C-LOG 3 with Cinema Gamut, Rec.2020, and Rec.709. Also records HLG and PQ for HDR delivery.

Up to 180 fps

Records 120 fps at DCI 4K and UHD 4K, and 180 fps at 2K and Full HD.

Internal Cinema RAW Light

Records Cinema RAW Light internally, keeping the sensor's unprocessed image data for grading.

EF-Mount

Takes EF-Mount lenses, with electronic contacts for lens metadata and control.

Recording

Cinema RAW Light and XF-AVC

Records internally in Cinema RAW Light HQ, Cinema RAW Light LT, Cinema RAW Light ST, XF-AVC All-Intra, and XF-AVC Long-GOP.

CFexpress Type B and SD Card Recording

Lens & Mount

Built-In ND Filters

Internal ND filtration covers 2 to 10 stops, so exposure can be reduced without adding filters in front of the lens.

Genlock

Syncs to an external reference through a BNC connector on Canon's optional expansion unit for multi-camera work.
