Overview
The Cooke AP3 35mm T2.4 Anamorphic Cinema Lens with E-Mount is a wide-angle anamorphic prime that covers Full Frame sensors. Wide-angle coverage takes in more of a location than the eye does, which suits establishing shots, landscapes, and interiors where the space carries the scene. Its 1.5x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 16:9 sensor, working equally well on high-end cinema bodies and prosumer cameras. The anamorphic character is more dramatic than a 1.33x and less extreme than a 2x. It uses an E-Mount, RF-Mount, L-Mount, and Leica M-Mount with manual focus.

87mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 87mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
82mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 82mm screw-in filters behind an 87mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
