Cooke AP3 50mm T2.4 Anamorphic Cinema Lens with E-Mount

Overview
The Cooke AP3 50mm T2.4 Anamorphic Cinema Lens with E-Mount is a wide-angle anamorphic prime that covers Full Frame sensors. Wide-angle coverage takes in more of a location than the eye does, which suits establishing shots, landscapes, and interiors where the space carries the scene. Its 1.5x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 16:9 sensor, working equally well on high-end cinema bodies and prosumer cameras. The anamorphic character is more dramatic than a 1.33x and less extreme than a 2x. It uses an E-Mount, RF-Mount, L-Mount, and Leica M-Mount with manual focus.
Features
Key Features
Wide Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors. A wide-angle field of view holds a subject and its surroundings in one frame, which is what establishing shots, interiors, and landscape work call for.
1.5x Anamorphic Squeeze
A 1.5x squeeze reaches 2.66:1 from a 16:9 sensor, making it flexible across high-end cinema bodies and prosumer cameras alike. Its anamorphic character is more dramatic than a 1.33x and less extreme than a 2x — the middle ground many operators are after.
User-Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be swapped by the owner, letting one lens follow a camera package across bodies rather than staying tied to whichever mount it shipped with. That matters most to owner-operators buying into a system they expect to change.

0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
87mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 87mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
82mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 82mm screw-in filters behind an 87mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
