Cooke Panchro/i Classic 32mm T2.2 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount

Overview
The Cooke Panchro/i Classic 32mm T2.2 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is a wide-angle spherical prime that covers Super 35 mm sensors. Wide-angle coverage takes in more of a location than the eye does, which suits establishing shots, landscapes, and interiors where the space carries the scene. A fast T2.2 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. Cooke /i metadata passes through the mount for post and VFX workflows.
Features
Key Features
Wide Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 31.1 mm image circle. A wide-angle field of view holds a subject and its surroundings in one frame, which is what establishing shots, interiors, and landscape work call for.
T2.2 Maximum Aperture
At T2.2 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.
270° Focus Throw
Its 270° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.
Service-Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be changed, but only at a service center rather than on the bench. The swap is a scheduled job with turnaround attached, which suits a permanent change of system rather than moving between bodies on a shoot.
Cooke /i Metadata
The lens reports focus distance, aperture, focal length, and serial number to the camera frame by frame. That metadata travels with the footage into post, where VFX can match a CG camera to the real one instead of measuring the set afterwards.

Mount & Rig Integration
PL-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
110mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 110mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
105mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 105mm screw-in filters behind a 110mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
