Cooke Panchro/i Classic Full Frame 18mm T2.2 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount

Overview
The Cooke Panchro/i Classic Full Frame 18mm T2.2 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is an ultra-wide spherical prime that covers Full Frame sensors. Ultra-wide coverage takes in a full setting from a short distance, which suits establishing shots, tight interiors, and vehicle work where the camera cannot be moved back. A fast T2.2 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. Cooke /i metadata passes through the mount for post and VFX workflows.
Features
Key Features
Ultra-Wide Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors. An ultra-wide field of view keeps interiors, vehicle mounts, and establishing shots workable from close in, where there is no room to move the camera back.
T2.2 Maximum Aperture
At T2.2 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.
270° Focus Throw
Its 270° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.
Cooke /i Metadata
The lens reports focus distance, aperture, focal length, and serial number to the camera frame by frame. That metadata travels with the footage into post, where VFX can match a CG camera to the real one instead of measuring the set afterwards.
Focus & Handling
30 cm Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
PL-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
125mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 125mm, which calls for a large-format matte box, or a clamp adapter sized to it. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
