Overview
The DZOFilm Catta Ace 70-135mm T2.9 Cinema Lens with PL & EF-Mounts is a standard spherical zoom that covers Vista Vision sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 1.9x zoom range allows camera operators to reframe without repositioning the camera, and a constant T2.9 aperture holds exposure steady through the zoom. It uses a PL-Mount and EF-Mount with manual focus.

Key Features
Standard Vista Vision Coverage
The lens covers Vista Vision sensors, projecting a 46.5 mm image circle. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.
270° Focus Throw
Its 270° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.
User-Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be swapped by the owner, letting one lens follow a camera package across bodies rather than staying tied to whichever mount it shipped with. That matters most to owner-operators buying into a system they expect to change.
Optical Design
1.9x Zoom Range
The 70-135mm range covers 1.9x without a lens change, holding a constant T2.9 through the zoom. Reframing happens on the barrel, letting one operator move between a wide and a tight shot inside a single take.

76 cm Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
PL-Mount and EF-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount and EF-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
80mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 80mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
77mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 77mm screw-in filters behind an 80mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
