Overview
The DZOFilm Gnosis 32mm T2.8 Macro Cinema Lens with LPL, PL, & EF-Mounts is a wide-angle spherical prime that covers Vista Vision sensors. Wide-angle coverage takes in more of a location than the eye does, which suits establishing shots, landscapes, and interiors where the space carries the scene. Its macro design captures fine detail and extreme close-ups at 1:1 magnification without switching lenses, focusing to 16.7 cm. It uses an LPL-Mount, PL-Mount, and EF-Mount with manual focus.

Key Features
300° Focus Throw
Its 300° focus throw is long, spreading distance marks widely for precise, repeatable pulls, with a slower full rack as the trade.
Wide Vista Vision Coverage
The lens covers Vista Vision sensors, projecting a 46.5 mm image circle. A wide-angle field of view holds a subject and its surroundings in one frame, which is what establishing shots, interiors, and landscape work call for.
Macro Design
Focusing to 1:1 at 16.7 cm, the lens fills the frame with small subjects — insert shots, product detail, texture — without a diopter or extension tube. Depth of field at that range is measured in millimeters, and focus is usually set by moving the camera rather than the barrel.
Mount & Rig Integration
LPL-Mount, PL-Mount, and EF-Mount
The lens mounts via LPL-Mount, PL-Mount, and EF-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
105mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 105mm screw-in filters behind a 114mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
