Overview
The DZOFilm PAVO 75mm T2.1 2x Anamorphic Cinema Lens with PL & EF-Mounts is a standard anamorphic prime that covers Super 35 mm sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. Its 2x squeeze produces a 2.66:1 field of view on a 4:3 sensor, commonly cropped to 2.39:1 for delivery. This is the classic scope format and carries the most pronounced anamorphic character. It uses a PL-Mount and EF-Mount with manual focus.

Key Features
Standard Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 31.5 mm image circle. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.
2x Anamorphic Squeeze
A 2x squeeze reaches 2.66:1 from a 4:3 sensor, commonly cropped to 2.39:1 for delivery. This is the classic scope format and carries the most pronounced anamorphic character — the widest flares, the most oval bokeh — which is exactly why many productions choose it.
270° Focus Throw
Its 270° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.
User-Interchangeable Mount
The mount can be swapped by the owner, letting one lens follow a camera package across bodies rather than staying tied to whichever mount it shipped with. That matters most to owner-operators buying into a system they expect to change.
Focus & Handling
84 cm Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
PL-Mount and EF-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount and EF-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
95mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 95mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
86mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 86mm screw-in filters behind a 95mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
