Overview

The NiSi Cinema C5 Matte Box Filmmaker Kit is a clamp-on matte box for lenses with 67, 72, 77, 82, or 95 mm fronts. It clamps directly to the lens barrel, so it needs no rods and suits handheld, gimbal, and run-and-gun rigs. It holds two filters in 4x4 or 4x5.65 trays. It cuts stray light with a top flag and is built from aluminum, carbon fiber, and composite. Its maker rates it to cover a full-frame sensor without vignetting.

Features

Key Features

Clamp-On, 67-95 mm

Clamps straight onto the lens barrel, so it can run without rods on a handheld or gimbal rig. It fits lenses with 67, 72, 77, 82, or 95 mm fronts.

2-Stage 4x4 / 4x5.65 Filter Trays

Holds two filters at once in 4x4 or 4x5.65 trays, so an ND can be stacked with a diffusion or graduated filter in front of the lens.

Top Flag

The flag shades the lens from above, cutting stray light before it can reach the front element and flare the image.

Carbon Fiber, Aluminum, and Composite Build

Built from aluminum, carbon fiber, and composite, a durable metal that stands up to daily use on set and in transport.

Full-Frame Coverage

Rated by its maker to cover a full-frame sensor without vignetting.
