Overview
The Sigma High-Speed Zoom 50-100mm T2 Cinema Lens with PL-Mount is a telephoto spherical zoom that covers Super 35 mm sensors. Telephoto focal lengths compress perspective and throw backgrounds well out of focus, letting camera operators isolate a subject from a busy environment or reach action at a distance. Its 2x zoom range allows camera operators to reframe without repositioning the camera, and a constant T2 aperture holds exposure steady through the zoom. A fast T2 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T16. It uses a PL-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.

Telephoto Super 35 mm Coverage
The lens covers Super 35 mm sensors, projecting a 28.4 mm image circle. A telephoto field of view compresses distance and lifts a subject off its background, suiting clean singles and action reached from further back.
T2 Maximum Aperture
At T2 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T16.
Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.

The 50-100mm range covers 2x without a lens change, holding a constant T2 through the zoom. Reframing happens on the barrel, letting one operator move between a wide and a tight shot inside a single take.

PL-Mount
The lens mounts via PL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
95mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 95mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
82mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 82mm screw-in filters behind a 95mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
