The Sigma MC-11 SA-Mount to E-Mount Lens Adapter mounts SA-Mount lenses on an E-Mount camera body. It carries no optical elements, so focal length, maximum aperture and image circle are unchanged. Electronic contacts carry aperture control from the camera to the lens. Autofocus works in single mode. Optical stabilization in the lens stays available through the adapter. The lens reports its metadata to the camera, so focal length and aperture are recorded with the shot. Firmware is updated over a PC connection.
Key Features
SA-Mount Lenses on E-Mount
Mounts an SA-Mount lens on an E-Mount camera body, holding it at the flange distance the lens was designed for so it still focuses to infinity.
Electronic Aperture Control
Aperture is set from the camera body, which drives the lens diaphragm through the adapter's contacts.
Autofocus Support (AF-S)
Autofocus works in single mode; the camera cannot track focus continuously through the adapter.
Image Stabilization Support
Optical stabilization in the lens stays available through the adapter.
Lens Metadata
The lens reports focal length, aperture and focus data to the camera, so it is recorded with the shot.
LED Status Indicator and PC Firmware Update
An LED on the barrel reports the adapter's status at a glance.
