Overview

The Tiffen 62mm ND 0.3 (1-Stop) filter is a round 62mm neutral density filter. It attaches to a lens's 62mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 62mm thread. The filter reduces incoming light by 1 stop, enough to trim exposure without changing how a shot is set.

Neutral Density Filter

A neutral density filter cuts the light reaching the sensor without shifting color, so exposure can be set by aperture and shutter rather than by light level.

Round Screw-In Format

The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.

62mm Filter Thread

The filter threads onto a 62mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.

62mm Front Thread

The front of the filter carries its own 62mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.
