The Tiffen 62mm Pro-Mist 1/4 filter is a round 62mm diffusion filter. It attaches to a lens's 62mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 62mm thread. Diffusion is rated at 1/4 strength, a moderate grade, the one most often reached for on faces.
Key Features
Soft Focus/Diffusion Filter
A diffusion filter lowers contrast and blooms highlights, softening digital sharpness in a way that is difficult to reproduce convincingly in post.
Round Screw-In Format
The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.
62mm Filter Thread
The filter threads onto a 62mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.
62mm Front Thread
The front of the filter carries its own 62mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.
1/4 Diffusion
Diffusion is rated at 1/4 strength, a moderate grade, the one most often reached for on faces.
