Overview

The Tiffen 72mm Circular Polarizer filter is a round 72mm circular polarizer. It attaches to a lens's 72mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 72mm thread. Its circular polarizer helps minimize reflections and glare from non-metallic surfaces without affecting autofocus or auto exposure.

Key Features

Polarizing Filter

A polarizing filter cuts reflected light, deepening skies and clearing glare from glass and water.

Round Screw-In Format

The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.

72mm Filter Thread

The filter threads onto a 72mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.

72mm Front Thread

The front of the filter carries its own 72mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.

Circular Polarizer

Rotating the front ring varies how much reflected light is cut. A circular polarizer is used rather than a linear one so that autofocus and metering are unaffected.
