Overview

The Tiffen 72mm Pro-Mist 1/2 filter is a round 72mm diffusion filter. It attaches to a lens's 72mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 72mm thread. Diffusion is rated at 1/2 strength, a strong grade that lifts shadows and blooms highlights visibly.

Features

Key Features

Soft Focus/Diffusion Filter

A diffusion filter lowers contrast and blooms highlights, softening digital sharpness in a way that is difficult to reproduce convincingly in post.

Round Screw-In Format

The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.

72mm Filter Thread

The filter threads onto a 72mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.

72mm Front Thread

The front of the filter carries its own 72mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.

1/2 Diffusion

Diffusion is rated at 1/2 strength, a strong grade that lifts shadows and blooms highlights visibly.
