The Tiffen 77mm ND 1.2 (4-Stop) filter is a round 77mm neutral density filter. It attaches to a lens's 77mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 77mm thread. The filter reduces incoming light by 4 stops, allowing wider apertures and slower shutter speeds to control exposure and hold a cinematic shutter angle in daylight.
Key Features
Neutral Density Filter
A neutral density filter cuts the light reaching the sensor without shifting color, so exposure can be set by aperture and shutter rather than by light level.
Round Screw-In Format
The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.
77mm Filter Thread
The filter threads onto a 77mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.
77mm Front Thread
The front of the filter carries its own 77mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.
4-Stop (ND16) Neutral Density
The filter reduces incoming light by 4 stops, allowing wider apertures and slower shutter speeds to control exposure and hold a cinematic shutter angle in daylight.
