Overview

The Tiffen 77mm Pro-Mist 1/8 filter is a round 77mm diffusion filter. It attaches to a lens's 77mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 77mm thread. Diffusion is rated at 1/8 strength, a light grade that softens highlights without a visible bloom.

Features

Key Features

Soft Focus/Diffusion Filter

A diffusion filter lowers contrast and blooms highlights, softening digital sharpness in a way that is difficult to reproduce convincingly in post.

Round Screw-In Format

The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.

77mm Filter Thread

The filter threads onto a 77mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.

77mm Front Thread

The front of the filter carries its own 77mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.

1/8 Diffusion

Diffusion is rated at 1/8 strength, a light grade that softens highlights without a visible bloom.
