The Tiffen 82mm Black Pro-Mist 1 filter is a round 82mm diffusion filter. It attaches to a lens's 82mm front thread and can be stacked with other filters via its own 82mm thread. Diffusion is rated at grade 1, the lightest grade on this scale, a subtle lift to highlights.
Key Features
Soft Focus/Diffusion Filter
A diffusion filter lowers contrast and blooms highlights, softening digital sharpness in a way that is difficult to reproduce convincingly in post.
Round Screw-In Format
The filter threads directly onto the front of a lens, which suits handheld and location work where a matte box would be in the way.
82mm Filter Thread
The filter threads onto an 82mm front thread. A lens with a different thread needs a step ring.
82mm Front Thread
The front of the filter carries its own 82mm thread, so a second filter or a hood can be mounted in front of it.
Grade 1 Diffusion
Diffusion is rated at grade 1, the lightest grade on this scale, a subtle lift to highlights.
