Leitz ELSIE 150mm T2.1 Cinema Lens with LPL-Mount

Overview
The Leitz ELSIE 150mm T2.1 Cinema Lens with LPL-Mount is a telephoto spherical prime that covers Vista Vision sensors. Telephoto focal lengths compress perspective and throw backgrounds well out of focus, letting camera operators isolate a subject from a busy environment or reach action at a distance. A fast T2.1 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It uses an LPL-Mount with manual focus. Cooke /i metadata passes through the mount for post and VFX workflows. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.
Features
Key Features
Telephoto Vista Vision Coverage
The lens covers Vista Vision sensors, projecting a 46.5 mm image circle. A telephoto field of view compresses distance and lifts a subject off its background, suiting clean singles and action reached from further back.
T2.1 Maximum Aperture
At T2.1 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments.
270° Focus Throw
Its 270° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.
Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.
Cooke /i Metadata
The lens reports focus distance, aperture, focal length, and serial number to the camera frame by frame. That metadata travels with the footage into post, where VFX can match a CG camera to the real one instead of measuring the set afterwards.

Mount & Rig Integration
LPL-Mount
The lens mounts via LPL-Mount, fitting industry-standard cinema cameras and adapting to most modern cinema and hybrid bodies.
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
112mm Filter Thread
The front accepts 112mm screw-in filters behind a 114mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
