Overview

The Leitz HEKTOR 100mm T2.1 Cinema Lens with E-Mount is a telephoto spherical prime that covers Vista Vision sensors. Telephoto focal lengths compress perspective and throw backgrounds well out of focus, letting camera operators isolate a subject from a busy environment or reach action at a distance. A fast T2.1 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses an E-Mount, L-Mount, RF-Mount, Z-Mount, and Fujifilm G-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is marked in both feet and meters.

Key Features

Telephoto Vista Vision Coverage

The lens covers Vista Vision sensors, projecting a 47.8 mm image circle. A telephoto field of view compresses distance and lifts a subject off its background, suiting clean singles and action reached from further back.

T2.1 Maximum Aperture

At T2.1 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.

120° Focus Throw

Its 120° focus throw is short, racking quickly from close focus to infinity — fast to operate and forgiving for a solo operator, at the cost of finer separation between distance marks.

Dual-Marked Focus Scale

The barrel carries both feet and meters, letting the lens drop into either workflow without anyone converting figures at the cart.

User-Interchangeable Mount

The mount can be swapped by the owner, letting one lens follow a camera package across bodies rather than staying tied to whichever mount it shipped with. That matters most to owner-operators buying into a system they expect to change.

Mount & Rig Integration

0.8-Pitch Cine Gears

The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.

80mm Front Diameter

The front element measures 80mm, which fits a compact matte box directly and steps up to a 114 mm clamp with an adapter ring. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.

77mm Filter Thread

The front accepts 77mm screw-in filters behind an 80mm front element. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
