The PolarPro 4x5.65 BaseCamp VND 6-9 Stop Mist Heavy 1/2 filter combines neutral density with diffusion in one rectangular 4x5.65 filter. It is sized for a matte box tray rather than threading onto the lens. Density is adjustable across 6-9 Stop, a range intended for bright sun and long exposure rather than general use. Diffusion is rated at 1/2 strength, a strong grade that lifts shadows and blooms highlights visibly. Additionally, the 4x5.65 BaseCamp VND 6-9 Stop Mist Heavy 1/2 features a 16-layer multicoating that minimizes internal ghosting and reflections.
Key Features
Neutral Density Filter
A neutral density filter cuts the light reaching the sensor without shifting color, so exposure can be set by aperture and shutter rather than by light level.
Rectangular Tray Format
The filter slides into a matte box tray rather than threading onto a lens, so one filter serves every lens in a set regardless of front diameter.
4x5.65 Tray Size
The filter is cut to 4x5.65 and fits a matte box tray of that size. Tray sizes are not interchangeable, so a 4x5.65 filter will not seat in a 4x4 stage.
6-9 Stop Variable Neutral Density
Density is adjustable across 6-9 Stop, a range intended for bright sun and long exposure rather than general use.
1/2 Diffusion
Diffusion is rated at 1/2 strength, a strong grade that lifts shadows and blooms highlights visibly.
16-Layer Multi-Coating
The glass carries a 16-layer multicoating that minimizes internal ghosting and reflections.
