Overview

The Rokinon 50mm T1.5 DS Cinema Lens with E-Mount is a standard spherical prime that covers Full Frame sensors. A standard focal length sees close to natural human perspective, which suits dialogue and coverage where the framing should not draw attention to itself. A fast T1.5 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments, and the lens closes to T22. It uses an E-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is marked in both feet and meters.

Features

Key Features

Standard Full Frame Coverage

The lens covers Full Frame sensors. A standard field of view sits near natural perspective, the neutral option for dialogue and everyday coverage where framing should not announce itself.

T1.5 Maximum Aperture

At T1.5 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It closes to T22.

Dual-Marked Focus Scale

The barrel carries both feet and meters, letting the lens drop into either workflow without anyone converting figures at the cart.

Focus & Handling

45 cm Minimum Focus

Mount & Rig Integration

0.8-Pitch Cine Gears

The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.

77mm Filter Thread

The front accepts 77mm screw-in filters. A matte box clamps to the outside diameter instead, which is what most cine setups use to avoid re-threading filters between lenses.
