Overview

The Rokinon DSX 14mm T3.1 High-Speed Cinema Lens with EF-Mount is an ultra-wide spherical prime that covers Full Frame sensors. Ultra-wide coverage takes in a full setting from a short distance, which suits establishing shots, tight interiors, and vehicle work where the camera cannot be moved back. The lens opens to T3.1 and closes to T22. It uses an EF-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is marked in both feet and meters.

Features

Key Features

Ultra-Wide Full Frame Coverage

The lens covers Full Frame sensors. An ultra-wide field of view keeps interiors, vehicle mounts, and establishing shots workable from close in, where there is no room to move the camera back.

T3.1 Maximum Aperture

The lens opens to T3.1 and closes to T22, a moderate maximum aperture suited to well-lit sets and to work that wants deeper depth of field.

250° Focus Throw

Its 250° focus throw sits in the standard range for cine glass, spreading distance marks far enough apart for repeatable pulls without making a full rack slow.

Dual-Marked Focus Scale

The barrel carries both feet and meters, letting the lens drop into either workflow without anyone converting figures at the cart.

Mount & Rig Integration

EF-Mount

The lens mounts via EF-Mount, designed for DSLR bodies and adapting cleanly onto most mirrorless systems, where the longer flange distance leaves room for a simple adapter without corrective optics. It operates fully manually and passes no metadata to the camera.

0.8-Pitch Cine Gears

The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
