Overview
The Rokinon Xeen 35mm T1.5 Cinema Lens with E-Mount is a wide-angle spherical prime that covers Full Frame sensors. Wide-angle coverage takes in more of a location than the eye does, which suits establishing shots, landscapes, and interiors where the space carries the scene. A fast T1.5 aperture lets camera operators separate subjects from their backgrounds or get the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments. It uses an E-Mount with manual focus. The focus barrel is available in either imperial or metric markings.
Features
Key Features
Wide Full Frame Coverage
The lens covers Full Frame sensors. A wide-angle field of view holds a subject and its surroundings in one frame, which is what establishing shots, interiors, and landscape work call for.
T1.5 Maximum Aperture
At T1.5 the lens separates subjects cleanly from their backgrounds and gets the most out of available lighting when filming in darker environments.
200° Focus Throw
Its 200° focus throw is short, racking quickly from close focus to infinity — fast to operate and forgiving for a solo operator, at the cost of finer separation between distance marks.
Imperial or Metric Focus Scale
The lens ships with either an imperial or a metric focus barrel. The scale is fixed at purchase rather than switchable, so a rental order or a set build has to specify which one is needed.
Focus & Handling
33 cm Minimum Focus
Mount & Rig Integration
0.8-Pitch Cine Gears
The lens carries 0.8-pitch cine gears, the standard pitch for follow focus units and lens motors. Compatibility with lens control systems lets a solo operator make consistent, repeatable focus pulls, or a camera assistant control the lens remotely.
114mm Front Diameter
The front element measures 114mm, which matches the 114 mm standard most matte boxes clamp to directly. Matte box fit follows from this measurement rather than from the filter thread, since the clamp grips the outside of the barrel.
